Cool Hues
This scene in the episode portrays a serious and intense moment. There is an occurring situation, that Bryce is missing. This stirred up controversy among who may have been involved with his apparent "disappearance". Clay is known by the schools administration and police department to have ill feelings towards Bryce. They out these two situations together and they brought Clay in for questioning. In the room, the black, dull lighting surrounds Clay, creating a feel of interrogation and suspense. Blue and green hues reflect off the wall the with the dark and brown colored reflects creates a sense of awareness of being questioned and maybe accused of something. The blue hues reflect Clay's negative outlook on Bryce and future issues that could arise. Clay is also clothed in all black, adding to the overall, depressed and dull atmosphere.
Warm Hues
Jessica is seen at the principal's office, in an over-the-shoulder shot from the principal. The window shines in a mix of white and yellow, highlighting the side of her body. The overall hue of the room is a mix of yellow. orange, and a slight tint of pink. This mix provides a mix of confidence and energy but calmness at the same time. Jessica is scolded for "influencing a riot" at the game against Bryce. She is wearing a dominantly black colored bomber jacket, contrasting her feminine blouse underneath. This gives her a feeling of dominance and superiority that compliments her confidence.
